Our start to London Fashion Week began at OnlOff with a smile and taste of Kuala Lumpa. Maybe its the recession cloud hanging over the general mood but it seems when the world around feels a little shaky designers go with what they know and trust. For S/S 2010 Bernard Chandran went back to his roots and his living room. Bernard's stellar collection was styled by Karen Binns, we got backstage for a video interview with him, Nora Nora on make-up and Clipso Hair breaking down the logistics of the show.
His core silhouette and house style remains strong, focused and structured but for next season Chandran has softened his architectural edges which this season were inspired by lanterns, bamboo and basket weave.
Soft floaty fabrics that billowed down the catwalk, look out for organic earthy tones burnt oranges, almost autumnal, bronzes, golds. Pollution masks masquerading as glamorised adornments for your face..
