Selfridge's Bright Young Things

Selfridge Oxford Street windows are always eye catching, I've posted a fair few here on Style Canteen. Their current windows are extra appealing, they're quite special. In the run up to London Fashion Week the windows have been given over to B.Y.T's Bright Young Things whose work I admire. Talent like Martin RoseCraig Lawrence and Patternity. As sometimes happens while i'm blogging I get to talking to people who in my usual day to day happenings our paths  wouldn't cross. Discussing B.Y.T's statement windows and excellently executed art direction. We both love Kei Kagami 'curiosity' adaptations on shoe and bag heels and womens wear hung on staircase spindles. Before Florrie headed over to Browns she urged me to quote her correctly when she said that "this is the best thing I've seen in fashion for a very long time !" I took that to mean like me, she really loved them!

Bright Young Things window showcase are 25 talented creators including fashion and accessories designers, jewellers, milliners, set and prop designers, one illustrator and an art collective in two group showings. From 10 January until 1 February Alex Noble, Charlie Le Mindu, Craig Lawrence, Frances Conteh, Kei Kagami, Kirsty Ward, Lilee, Reid Peppard, Simone Rocha and Sophie Stephens. The second will run from 4 February until the end of the month and will be given over to Jessica Dance, Lee Roach, Little Glass Clementine, Martine Rose, Matthew Miller, New Power Studio, Patternity, Rhea Thierstein, Shao Yenand Yang Du.
